Dongfang Electric’s 10MW OWT tender for the offshore wind project in Fujian Province has been revoked.
The Fujian Changle Far-sea Offshore Wind Farm Zone C is now tendering for a new OWT supplier.
At the end of November this year, Three-Gorges and Fujian Energy, owner of Changle Offshore Wind Farm, called for bids for the first batch of OWTs for Zone C of the wind farm. Dongfang Electric originally won the bid and was meant to supply 80MW OWTs at 6,080 CNY/kW from July 2020 to June 2021. In an unexpected move, however, Fujian Changle Offshore Wind Farm decided to revoke the tender and re-call for bids, with the following adjusted requirements: 1) turbine unit capacity must be 6MW or above, compared to a minimum of 8MWin the previous version, and 2) total project capacity is changed from 80MW to 200MW, and 3) final delivery of OWT will be advanced to February 2021.
