The successful erection of Putian Pinghaiwan offshore wind farm’s first turbine has been declared the project’s “first victory” of 2020.
CEI (China Energy Investment Company) and EDF have signed a joint venture contract and subscription agreement for the Dongtai Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd.
On March 6, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the Construction Plan of Key Projects in 2020, which includes 19 offshore wind power projects with total installed capacity of 8.07GW and with COD expected by the end of 2021.

Despite the haunting of the coronavirus, which has obstructed normal construction procedures, on February 20 SPIC announced that the consortium made up of Power China Huadong Engineering Corporation Ltd., Shanghai Electric, and Zhongtian Ocean Engineering had won the bidding for the EPC contract of SPIC’s two offshore wind farms—Jiangsu Rutong H4# and H7# (800MW in total).
