The Yangjiang Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources has recently approved the implementation plan for the land use of CGN Yangjiang Fanshi # 1 and 2 offshore wind farm projects.
Approved in 2018, these two projects represent 1 GW in capacity each. According to the Chinese regulation, all investment projects are supposed to start construction within two years after obtaining the DRC approval, with one year of extension for special cases upon DRC’s permission. These two projects will otherwise face the risk of DRC approval forfeiture should they fail to kick start construction.
