XEMC Windpower (湘电风能) showcases its brand new 6.X-7.XMW offshore wind turbine models at the Beijing International Wind Energy Conference

During the 2020 Beijing International Wind Energy Conference held on October 14-16, XEMC Windpower presented and showcased several technologies, among which are: the new concept of 6.XMW-7.XMW wind turbines, the introduction of the new deep-sea offshore permanent magnet direct-drive ultra-compact and high-reliability series products, Intelligent blade icing prediction and safety control methods based on big data, XEMC modular polygonal ultra-high mixing tower application technology.

Tan Wenli, Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Director and General Manager of XEMC Windpower was also among the representatives of wind energy companies at the “Wind Energy Beijing Declaration” during the opening ceremony of the conference – where strong commitments concerning wind energy were laid out:

  • Installations of at least 50GW/year of wind power for the next five years (14th FYP)
  • Installations of at least 60GW/year of wind power after 2025
  • Targets of at least 800GW of installed wind capacity by 2030
  • Targets of at least 3000GW of installed wind capacity by 2060
