SPIC’s unsubsidized 6GW onshore wind project located in Ulanqab, West IMAR, has begun construction.

The project’s total investment is CNY 42.544 billion, representing record low CAPEX of about 7000 CNY/kW, and is expected to produce at more than 3000 full load hours, with electricity transmitted on UHV lines to the Beijing North Hebei and Tianjin grid. With an average turbine size of 4.16 MW, the huge project also drives a transition from the 2.0MW to 4.0 MW onshore wind era in China. (BJX)
