On September 16, Dongfang Wind Power won the bid for the second batch of wind turbines and ancillary equipment procurement contract for the Funeng Group’s Fujian Changle Offshore Wind Farm Area C Project (off the coast of Fujian Province).

With a capacity of 200MW, this project is the largest order for Dongfang's 10MW offshore wind turbine so far.

Fujian Changle Offshore Wind Farm Area C Project is located in a sea area 32-40km from the coastline of Changle, with an average water depth of around 40m. The turbine is an IEC Class I typhoon resistant design.

The unit is currently the largest offshore wind turbine in Asia with the largest single-unit capacity independently developed and put into operation in China (although MingYang launched its new MySE 11-203 hybrid-drive offshore wind turbine earlier in July which will be commercially available in 2022).
