China Three Gorges (CTG) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Zhangzhou Municipal Government on September 8.

According to the agreement, CTG and Zhangzhou City will work together to further develop the offshore wind power projects in the far-reaching sea areas, and focus on the construction of offshore wind power industrial parks, marine ranching (aquaculture) and hydrogen energy industries.

Together with Mingyang Group, CTG plans to invest CNY 130 billion in Zhangzhou City, CNY 10 billion of which will go into building the offshore wind power industry park which includes offshore wind supply chain equipment such as OWT units, blades, submarine cables, sea water hydrogen production, etc. The annual output of the industrial park is planned to reach CNY 30 billion. CTG is expecting to build the largest far-deep-sea offshore wind base in the country and the world’s leading offshore wind port in Zhangzhou. (Zhangzhou GOV)
