2GW wind+solar+storage integrated energy project to land in Guangxi

After Zhang Jinglian, the Secretary of the Qintang District Party Committee of Guigang City (Guangxi Province), led investment promotion activities in Beijing and Tianjin around the end of October, the People’s Government of Qintang District and China Energy Engineering Corporation signed an agreement to develop 2GW of wind+solar+storage integration projects.

This complementary, multi-energy integrated project is one of the first of its kind officially announced in China. The planned total investment is CNY 12 billion while the 2GW capacity breakdown is as follows: 1.8GW of installed solar PV capacity and 200MW of installed wind capacity. The planned energy storage supporting system to be built is 200MW/400MWh. (Guigang City Qintang District Gov.)
