Azure International attended as an invited speaker at the recently-held Sino-International Energy Storage and Microgrid Summit in Shandong, Yantai. The conference brought together technology leaders from around China, with special guests from Thailand and Australia.
Presentations spanned a variety of exciting topics, including China Southern Grid demonstration projects, energy storage and solar installations in remote areas of China, the drivers of the Australian residential energy storage market, and a delightful discussion on Northwest Thailand's power grid operations.
Mr. Kamil Bojanczyk, Senior Analyst at Azure, presented on the topic "Renewables Curtailment in Northeast China and the Opportunities for Energy Storage".
The presentation reviewed results from an Azure-built grid simulation model of cities and regions in Northeast China. The model forecasts wind curtailment from 2012 to 2025 for wind farm operators in the Northeast Region. A simulation example of the Jing JinTang region is provided below.
